Here’s how to cope with the potentially crushing realization that despite your upbringing and indoctrinations, you may actually be a closet heterosexual.
It can happen to anyone, and there’s no need to feel ostracized. Some of the greatest figures through history (Adam, Eve, Romeo, Juliet, Thomas Jefferson, Sean Connery, Mariah Carey) have proudly gone for that what ain’t like what they had themselves, and still managed to go and lead (more or less) happy and (more or less) meaningful lives. Frankly, I could have used this when I was going through puberty. It would have been good to know that I wasn’t alone in this big crazy world.
Reemember, in the words of another famous heterosexualist, learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all.
